Hillel Yeshiva is concerned with the success of every student. In order for students to reach their maximum potential we have created a College Guidance Department that is sensitive to the needs of every student. From the very first day of school in ninth grade until the processional at graduation in the twelfth, we carefully monitor each student’s progress.

The guidance department, under the direction of Mr. Thomas Sheridan and Dr. Daniel Herrmann, partners with our students for the purpose of guiding them through high school. The guidance efforts include: helping students select classes that are suitable for their aspirations, providing students with reasonable aspirations based upon their individual abilities, and sensitizing students to the importance of beginning high school with serious intention to their classes which will help develop a good transcript.

As students approach their junior and senior years, both Mr. Sheridan and Dr. Herrmann help each student choose appropriate colleges, guide them every step of the way in the application process, and contact each college to insure that the application process is proceeding as well as possible.

The College Guidance Department provides our students with an experienced, professional and caring staff that offers our students the ability to maximize their experiences at Hillel Yeshiva as well as the opportunity to attend the most appropriate college.
