College Guidance
The Director of College Guidance is Dr. Benjamin Leibowitz. He is available to meet with both students and parents to discuss the entire college guidance process. Parents of 12th Grade Students please call to schedule your College Guidance Appointments at your convenience. Call732-493-0420 Nadine or Betty will advise you of open dates and times.

Welcome to the HYHS College Guidance Web Page. It is my wish that it will serve as a vehicle to share pertinent information and foster relevant dialogue concerning your future educational plans. Please review the suggested links which will provide you with valuable information dealing with the college application process. Most colleges review the following criteria to determine admission to their school:
  1. Grades - the high school transcript
  2. SAT scores
  3. The personal statement (essay)
  4. Co-curricular participation
  5. Special talents
  6. Teacher recommendation
  7. A.P. and Honors courses
Students should check college catalogues for specific entrance requirements. Students are urged to take as challenging an academic program as possible and meet with the director of college guidance for planning and direction.

Give it a try and keep me posted. Remember, I am here to answer ALL of your questions and to assist you at every juncture of the college preparatory process.

It is imperative that as early as possible each student review the specific requirements for the college on their personal application list and work closely with their college counselor in selecting courses each year.
