Welcome Message
Hillel's reputation for graduating academically excellent and socially conscious students is well deserved. The high school is an exhilarating place bustling with lively classes, countless special interest clubs and activities, and hard-fought, yet friendly, sports victories.

Multi-tiered levels, each with an emphasis on academic and personal success, provide a dual curriculum of high-level Judaic studies and outstanding college preparation. The emphasis on writing continues in high school. Juniors refine their skills with a college preparatory writing course; an additional writing elective is offered for students seeking greater improvement and preparation for college.

The high school provides the structure that students need at this age, as well as opportunities for each student to develop his or her own special talents and interests. Learning and personal development also happen outside the classroom; the school organizes trips to New York City, Washington D.C., Israel, and Europe. Dozens of special clubs and activities enhance the development of the total child. A student, for example, can participate in the Model UN or Fine Arts Club, with regular trips to shows and exhibits in Manhattan. Budding writers cultivate their skills in the Newspaper Club and annual literary journal. In sports, high school boys and girls participate in seasonal athletic programs, and bring honor to the school with sportsmanship and championship play.

Students receive the extra academic and emotional support they need at this unique time in their lives. They are invited to meet individually and informally with the school’s learning specialist, college guidance counselor, religious counselor, or psychologist, all of whom are dedicated, full-time professionals.
